Meeting – Korean Institue for National Unification of Seul

On October 31st this year Ha Eun Joeng and Jung Hyeon Lee from the Korean Institue for National Unification of Seul visited IPS PAS.

Anna Y. Grzywacz, Ireneusz Sadowski and Piotr Osęka took part in the meeting about the Polish experience in fighting the communist dictatorship.

The focal point of the discussion was the question of knowledge about the mechanisms of loss of power by PZPR (Polish United Workers’ Party) and how it could be useful in trying to forsee the situation in North Korea.

The guests were especially interested in the political and societal apsects of the transformation after the year 1989, as well as the models of social resistance in the PRL ( Polish People’s Republic) period.
